Saying that I’m obsessed with this elopement is an understatement! I’ve been dreaming for YEARS to photograph a wedding like this and I finally got to! Kate and Steven just moved from England to officially tie the knot here in Victoria, their new city they now call home! As a British Columbia native who loves Victoria, I was SO excited when they reached out to me to photograph their elopement here and on Halloween of all days! Their Halloween elopement in Victoria couldn’t have been any cooler!
Wedding Attire
Kate and Steven were lovers of everything dark, moody, and punk-rock which was perfect for a Halloween elopement. Don’t get me started on their fashion sense! They by far brought the best edgy fashion to their wedding day that Ive seen yet! Both Kate and Steven wore black wedding attire with a hint of red to give their outfits some color. Kate had red nail polish and red lipstick and Steven wore red socks and had a beautiful red-orange boutonniere to match Kate’s edgy bouquet from Platinum Floral.

Wedding Ceremony at Laurel Point Inn
Kate and Steven eloped at Laurel Point Inn a breathtaking wedding destination in Victoria. One of my favorite things about Laurel Point Inn is the attention to detail at every turn and the stunning natural surroundings. It’s the perfect place for any elopement ceremony.
At Laurel Point Inn you can decide to have your ceremony in their garden, by the water, or overlooking the city harbors. Kate and Steven had their elopement ceremony on the balcony of their hotel room overlooking the city harbors. It made for some gorgeous photos and was extremely intimate.

Kate and Steven’s ceremony was officiated by my absolute favourite, David Peck. This wonderful human has officiated hundreds of weddings (He’s nearing thousands!) and is so kind and amazing at officiating.

After Kate and Steven said their “I Do’s” and exchanged vows on their balcony they indulged in a chocolate ganache drip cake! This wedding cake was so exquisite and added to the Halloween spirit with its black icing and fall-colored flowers from Platinum Floral.

Couple Portraits at the Beach
Nearby Lauren Point Inn was a park where we took Kate and Steven’s formal photos. The park was filled with multi-colored fallen leaves and crisp air. I couldn’t help but feel the Halloween spirit. It really was the perfect place to take photos. Kate and Steven also took iconic champagne pop photos, one of my favourite types of portraits. One of the many things I love about Victoria is its weather. Victoria will only rain during the winter months so with October 31st being Kate and Steven’s wedding day we got very lucky with the weather. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day that had a slight fall breeze and not a single cloud in the sky! This weather was perfect to get portraits at the beach so we headed down there to get more shots of this beautiful couple in love.

Kate and Steven were the coolest ever I truly enjoyed capturing the love they had for one another and being a part of their Halloween-inspired elopement. It made all of my Halloween dreams come true! I’ll forever be the BIGGEST fan of their aesthetic as well as their matching bangs.
